Alessandra Di Simone
Hi there! I’m a freelance graphic artist and video editor specializing in graphic design, animation, and motion graphics for film, television and web. I have BA’s in Cinema & Media Studies and English Literature from York University, and a diploma from Seneca College in TV Broadcasting. I also have an MEd from York University, a diploma in Post-Secondary Education, and am currently teaching graphics at Seneca College. The majority of my time is spent working closely with businesses and independent clients to create designs, animations or videos that meet their needs.
Graphic Design
At the heart of all great visual work is a thorough knowledge of graphic design principles. I consistently use a combination of all of the professional Adobe tools such as Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop to get the job done.
Video + Audio Editing
Almost everything requires video editing today. Adobe Premiere is my go-to edit tool for the variety of video projects I work on. From series shows, to commercials, reels, corporate videos, promos and more.
Motion Graphics + VFX
Creating custom motion graphics and templates are just the beginning. I also composite, colour, animate and add visual effects to projects using Adobe After Effects.
3D Modelling + Animation
For more complex projects that require something that footage cannot provide, I also use 3DS Max and Cinema 4D for 3D modelling, lighting and animation.
